Transplantation offers life-changing and life-saving surgery to many patients with organ failure – helping to improve the long-term outcomes and enhance the quality of life of transplant recipients.
In India, around 7.85 million people suffer from chronic kidney failure. At present, the approximate prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is 800 per million population and new cases of end-stage kidney disease are 150-200 per million population. Currently, the number of patients undergoing renal transplant is estimated at 5,000-6,000 per year.
Roche is strongly committed to improving the outcomes of organ transplantation and enhancing the quality of life of transplant recipients. Roche has developed innovative therapies that improve graft and post-transplant health.
