Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE), is a division of Roche Pharma and is based out of Chennai, India. It was established with a goal to provide innovative data driven solutions to the global affiliates of Roche. We provide solutions in the areas of Analytics, Business Insights & Reporting, Data Strategy & Management, and Technology.

We work on multiple therapeutic areas including Ophthalmology, Metabolic diseases, Neurosciences, Oncology, Immunology and Infectious diseases.

To serve as an extended team for Genentech and other Roche Affiliates where we partner on Analytics & Technology driven processes and projects.

Data scientists within GATE support the wider organization in specialized Machine Learning-AI projects that focus on improving customer engagement, patient experience and business outcomes. The team leverages multiple predictive algorithms to make informed decisions impacting the future of the organization and its customers.

We have a team of experts that work with the sales and marketing analytics group, the market access group and others to partner on several analytical projects. These projects enable strategic and tactical decision making, and are facilitated by Big Data platforms and advanced analytical tools such as Python and R.

Our Business Intelligence (BI) experts provide easy-to-consume visualization on highly customized dashboards that bring out insights across multiple areas of Pharma business. Our BI team utilizes state-of-art visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, QlikSense, Alteryx, Quicksight, Thoughtspot, Spotfire and Power BI.

Our DevOps team implements frequent incremental changes to multiple applications which help enable swift actions to market events, through faster application development and maintenance processes. The team’s efforts, empowered by AWS Suite, provide the organization with the capability of real world data driven decision making.

We have expertise in both internal and external data, and provide data strategy as well as operational support related to data acquisition, management, transformation, automation, and vendor management.
