This program is intended for Final Year DM/DNB/M Ch/MS/MD - Radiation Oncology students in India across all streams in Oncology and aims to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to address the complex challenges that span the entire cancer care continuum. Our initiative focuses on inspiring innovative solutions to enhance patient care, with opportunities for the best minds to earn scholarships and gain insights from experts in the field of cancer care.

The program’s objective is to not only empower final year DM/DNB/M Ch/MS/MD - Radiation Oncology students but also inspire them to drive positive changes in the world of cancer care. By providing a platform to innovate simple solutions to tackle everyday challenges in cancer care, we want to build capacity for problem solving from the ground level up.
Our vision is simple yet profound - to empower the minds of tomorrow and ignite the spirit of innovation in the oncology community. We believe that by enabling the next generation of healthcare professionals to think strategically, generate innovative ideas, and apply their knowledge, we can foster advancements that will significantly impact patient care.
The program is intended for final year Doctorate of Medicine (DM) / Diplomate of National Board (DNB) / Master of Surgery (MS/M Ch) / Doctor of Medicine (MD) across all streams of oncology students from India.
*Registered medical practitioners/oncologists from India are eligible to apply for this program.
Program Phases
Phase 1: All third year DM/DNB/M Ch/MS/MD - Radiation Oncology students across all streams will be invited to participate in a challenge-solving program through an online portal.
Phase 2: The jury will carefully evaluate the entries from Phase 1 and select the 20–25 most outstanding submissions.
Phase 3: The five best solutions win rewarding academic scholarships
All registered participants will get a chance to attend sessions and that will help them learn about opportunities that set oncologists up for success as they transition into clinical practice.
The applicants do not have to pay any program fee.
The launch date of the program is 20th December 2024
Challenges related to clinical oncology, challenges in immunotherapy, and patient-related issues would be the broad categories included.
Third year DM/DNB/M Ch/MS/MD - Radiation Oncology students across all streams can choose one or many challenge buckets (Challenge details here) against which they are required to submit their solution.
By when should the applicants submit their solutions against their identified challenges?
Challenges will go live from 20th January 2025. Participants have time till 15th May 2025 to submit their solutions.
Final-year DM/DNB/M Ch/MS/MD - Radiation Oncology students across all streams are required to complete mandatory registration to participate in LEAP.
The five best solutions win rewarding academic scholarships.
All registered participants will get a chance to attend multiple sessions from experts that will help them learn about opportunities that set oncologists up for success as they transition into clinical practice.
